Green {Irish} Kettle Corn

One of my favorite things to make is the Our Best Bites Kettle Corn.
It is YUM! YUM! YUM! and is always a crowd favorite.
So when I had to take a green treat to a St. Patrick's Day potluck
I had with my friends at the park, I decided to make it GREEN!

It turned out so great!
But I learned a few things, so I decided to share the tips with you.
I always make a double batch - a single never goes far enough.
So you'll need:

2/3 cup white popcorn kernels
6 T canola oil
6 T sugar
Kosher salt
green food coloring

Follow the directions at Our Best Bites,
but when it comes to the step when you dump in the popcorn kernel/sugar
mixture into the hot oil, quickly, and I mean QUICKLY,
squeeze about 10 drops of green food coloring into the mound
of sugar popcorn - trying to avoid dropping it directly into the oil.
Stir fast and pop the lid on.
Then continue following the OBB directions.

BAM! You'll have green "Irish" kettle corn that all your friends
will go cuckoo for!
