My sweet little {BIG} guy put himself out there and ran for student
council last week. Unfortunately, he didn't win, and it was a hard life lesson
go through. My heart ached for the hurt I couldn't just fix with a hug
and an ice cream, but I was so proud of him for being brave enough to try.
Later that afternoon he came in first during his first 100 IM at the swim meet
and the sting of his student council loss was forgotten at least for a moment.
I really do believe that things work out how they are supposed to,
but man, it's really not fun to lose, which is why I was never brave enough
to do anything like this as a kid (or an adult for that matter!).
I really look up to this little {BIG} guy and glad I get to be his mom!

Thanks for hosting! And thank you for adjusting the link up. With teaching full-time, it is so hard to get have access to my phone or to the computer to get onto link ups when they first open so I often wind up stuck way at the end. :) -- Amy @ http://thegiftedgabber.com
