Furthermore, nobody in Germany eats syrup! We don't like that at all. We eat our pancakes with sugar or fruit.
So if the person who gave you that recipe pretends to be German, he or she must be lying! ;-)minidahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15851836792333597054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8954168366969639799.post-3427806935688851542011-04-07T16:10:03.144-07:002011-04-07T16:10:03.144-07:00My mom makes these. These are SO easy to make and a FAV in this household. But we make "German Pancake Syrup" for them. It takes a bit, but it is SOOOOOO good and caramel-y.
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butterfmilk
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp Karon Corn Syrup (light)
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla

You have to stir CONSTANTLY or it goes EVERYWHERE, but it is SOOO good! You stir it all together over medium-high heat and boil for 7 minutes (literally stirring constantly) and then after the 7 mins add the vanilla and stir it all together. YUMMY!!!!

-GretchenGretchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15604591041384076560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8954168366969639799.post-57082619447955301902011-04-07T11:45:02.959-07:002011-04-07T11:45:02.959-07:00These are so absolutely delicious with some berrie...These are so absolutely delicious with some berries.
