Stop Being Sad and Start Being AWESOME!

That's my new mantra.
Love me some Barney Stinson.
I've got friends and family that have been going through
some not so great thing over the past month or so.
Hard things.
Sad things.
My heart aches for their heartaches and sorrow.
My prayers are whispered in their behalf.

Just this week I was watching TV with my husband
and he {LOVES} to watch reruns of HIMYM.
This episode just happened to be on and I just happened
to be listening - I usually tune it out while I multitask.

I generally don't wax all philosophical on you,
but when I heard this quote it made me think of
my years of early morning Seminary and memorizing
scripture mastery and 2 Nephi 2:25 -

Adam fell that men might be;
and men are that they might have joy.

And I truly believe that.
Heavenly Father wants us to be joyful.
It's hard to be joyful when things seem terrible.
But I really believe that the Lord wants us choose happiness.
He wants us to be awesome.
He wants us to smile and choose joy in the small things.

So, here's a small thing to help remind us to all
choose to be awesome.
Let's make a pact to not let the Adversary win.
Let's stop being sad and be AWESOME!

And one thing I'm doing each week
to help me be AWESOME is to paint my nails.
It makes me smile when I look down and see pretty nails looking back.

I used four different polishes this week.
I just have to tell you that I {LOVE} my Sally Hansen Disco Ball.
It adds the perfect sparkle to any color.
It's fabulous and only like $3, so you can't go wrong.

I got a little crazy and did something different on each nail this week.
My favorites are the sparkling ring finger and the flower pointer finger.
THIS was my inspiration this week.

So, what will you do this week to be awesome?

I happen to be up too late and clicked over- love this post, Kyla! Your printables are great, but I like your "waxing philosophical" just as well ;) This week I'll dip my toes in the sand and feel the sun soak into my skin- it'll be awesome! Hope yours is great too!

Love the clip. I wish it was that easy - I find it's a battle in my mind. I let my thoughts get carried away and I need to stop and remember that God is in control of every situation that touches my life and the life of my family. We're going through a rough season but I am trusting in God's promises. Thanks for your post today. I needed it!
