Lunch Notes and Peanut Butter Sushi Roll with #SnapwareBTS

Disclosure: I was given product for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

We're back to school and that means it time for packing lunches each day. It is honestly
one of my least favorite things about being back to school. I know the kids get tired of
eating the same thing every day, but I get in a lunch rut, and with a picky eater
sometimes my options are limited. That's why I am loving these Snapware Total Solution
On the Go sets with the ice pack because it opens up a world of foods that the kids
wouldn't eat because they need to stay cold to be yummy.

The Snapware Total Solution On the Go pieces fit perfectly inside the kids' lunch boxes
and I love that the lids snap on airtight and are leak-proof. This is really important
because the lunchboxes have to last the entire year. So if something gets spilled inside
of them they can get stinky really quickly. The included ice packs keep the food fresh
and cool and ready for lunch a few hours later. There is nothing worse than warm,
limp carrots or warm lunch meat when you sit down to eat.

One way I keep lunches exciting and fun at our house is to do something fun with the
same old peanut butter sandwich that both the kids love. One peanut butter sandwich
variation that is especially fun is the Peanut Butter, Honey, and Banana "Sushi" Roll.
It's quick and easy to put together and adds a level of fun to what is usually an ordinary
lunch. I made a little video below of how to make this sandwich. All you'll need is bread,
peanut butter, honey, a banana, a knife and a rolling pin.

Once your peanut butter sandwich "sushi" roll is done, pop it into your Snapware
container, add a couple of cute cupcake liners and fill with your fruits and veggies, and
your lunch box is now snazzy and ready to go. Then top it with the ice pack and
everything will stay fresh and ready for your kids' lunches that day at school. I also like
to use the little Snapware containers to add in some pretzels, chips or another side.

In addition to new variations on a the same old peanut butter sandwiches, I also like
to include a cute lunch box note as a fun little surprise for the kids each day. They both
love to see which note they are going to get that day and they make a big deal not to
see which note I've give them so it can be a big surprise at lunch. So that I didn't have
to stress each day about getting new notes printed or made, I created this little box
where I keep all the notes and they are easy to grab and put one in each day.

Be sure to grab your FREE PRINTABLE LUNCH NOTES at the bottom of the post,
as long as a chance to win a fantastic prize pack of Snapware Total Solution sets of your

label in my notes so you can make your own lunch notes box!

Adorable Halloween Lunch Notes

Last week I shared some fun Halloween lunch ideas to make your
kids' school lunches more festive during Halloween.
This weekend I decided to make some cute Halloween lunch notes
that you can pop into their lunches this week if Bento style lunches just aren't your thing.

There are two 8.5x11 page sets of cute Halloween lunch notes.
They are in a PDF format so that you can print easily from you printer.
You can find both sets of Halloween lunch notes by following the link.

Happy Halloween!
And may your lunches be more festive!

Lunch Ideas: 15+ Spooky Halloween Bento Lunches

We're crazy for Halloween at our house and crazy for fun and festive food ideas.
I've put together Thanksgiving Bento ideas and a Valentine's Day Bento round-up,
so I perused my favorite sites and grabbed fifteen adorable (and easy)
Halloween lunch ideas that will make you the coolest mom at the lunch table.
Some of the ideas are of the Bento variety and some are just fun foods to make
for your kids at home.
Either way, they'll love their spooky Halloween lunch and you'll be a rock star!

1. Funny Frankenstein Wrap at Meet the Dubiens:
Love this cute Frankenstein spinach wrap! The bolts are a nice touch!

2. Candy Corn Chicken Quesadillas at Boulder Locavore:
It's no secret that I love candy corn, so of course these had to be part of the list.

3. Meatball Mummies at Spend with Pennies:
We've made the hot dog mummies, but even my Isabella would love a meatball mummy!

4. Frankenstein Grape Cups at Green Lunches Green Kids:
These little Frankies are so cute and you could add bolts for a nice touch.

5. Monster Bagel Sandwich at Eats Amazing:
I've seen the vampire teeth used with donuts, but this bagel is even spookier!

6. Ghost Sandwich at Cookie Cutter Lunch:
Not a fan of high maintenance Bento? Grab a ghost cookie cutter and you're golden!

The cucumber bones are adorable and candy eyes makes green Jell-O spooky too!

8. Monster Sandwiches at Chocolate and Carrots:
No fancy cookie cutters needed here! Just use your imagination and on hand
food from the refrigerator to make a monster sandwich.

9. GoGo Squeez Mummies at The Nerd's Wife:
What kid doesn't love a GoGo Squeez applesauce? Add crepe paper and voila! Mummy!

10. Mummy Protein Bar at Keeley McGuire:
Instead of a chocolate bar, make your child's protein bar into a mummy.
Don't forget the bat shaped carrots!

11. Pumpkin Shaped Muffin at Meet the Dubiens:
Adorable pumpkin shaped silicone muffin cups are just the right touch to this
spooky preschool snack.

12. Spider PB&J Sandwiches at The Happy Gal:
Again, no fancy cookie cutter or supplies! Just PB&J, raisins and pretzels!

13. Spider Web Sandwiches at Another Lunch:
Eeek! A spider web sandwich is sure to please even a picky eater.

14. Spiderman Sandwich at Bentoriffic:
My Spidey-sense is telling me that this lunch would be a big hit with your little super hero.

15. Bat Sandwich at Glory's Mischief:
Eeeek! These Bat Sandwiches are fun and easy!

16. Zombie Sandwiches at Wendolonia:
Walking Dead fans? Pack them a zombie they can eat before it eats them!
