Savannah Chop House: One Word, {Delicious}

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to have dinner at Savannah Chop House
for the first Gigasavvy Social Club and the food was so yummy!
I have to admit that I don't venture out much when it comes to trying
new restaurants, so I jumped at the chance to be with friends and try some
delicious food.

Savannah Chop House is located in Laguna Niguel and is the perfect location
for a romantic date night or an evening out with friends.
It has a warm and inviting ambiance and the rustic decor and comfortable seating
make you feel right at home.

The evening started with delicious appetizers.
My favorite was the Grilled Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp! It was carmelized
to perfection and since shrimp is a favorite of mine, it couldn't go wrong!
The Smoke Salmon on a Toasted Point was flavorful and the perfect bite size.
Savannah's signature recipe Bruschetta was a big hit with the entire group too!

For the first course, Chef Chris Tzorin served up a lovely Tempura Stuffed Zucchini.
It was stuffed with herb goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes. The plating with the edible
orchid was the perfect touch to add a pop of color to the presentation.
I thought it was yummy and just the perfect size for a first course.

Surf and turf for the main course? Yes, please!!!! I adore shrimp, but I never make it for myself,
because it's never as yummy as when an amazing chef prepares it to perfection.
So I was delighted to be serveda fillet medallion and shrimp scampi on top of mashed potatoes
from Chef Tzorin. Fabulous!
It was served with brussel sprouts and I was like, I don't eat those. But I did!
And they were delicious!

We closed out the night with not one, but two desserts! Ok, so each dessert was served to
every other person so that you could share and taste both, but it was like experiencing two desserts.
The first was a deconstructed Strawberry Shortcake and it was good - light and yummy.
However, it really didn't hold a candle to the Flourless Chocolate Cake.
Oh, my goodness! It was the crowning jewel of the entire night. I still dream about it.
It was like an ooey gooey lava cake with crunchy edges, like the edge pieces of
your grandma's brownie pan. Amazing.

So, if you're looking for intimate dining for a night out with your
sweetheart or a cozy place to gather with friends, Savannah Chop House has you covered.
Chef Chris Tzorin's passion for creating amazing food is evident in each dish
and you won't be disappointed in anything he prepares for you.
