Brunch at Tortilla Jo's in Downtown Disney

If you've never been to Tortilla Jo's at Downtown Disney before (like me!),
then you need to correct that mistake and get there ASAP. I joined some of my favorite
influencers for brunch for the Gigasavvy Social Club and I had the pleasure of dining
at Tortilla Jo for the first time and it was delicious!

We started brunch with a delicious fruit plate and mimosas.
Now, you know I'm not a mimosa drinker, so the lovely staff at Tortilla Jo's
was kind enough to give me an orange juice - straight up.

Next, they debuted their Apple Spring Salad and it was so full of flavor,
it was the best salad I've ever had. Julienned gala apples, jicama, mango, watermelon radish,
watercress, toasted marcona almonds, oatmeal, dried blueberries, and vanilla yogurt dressing
all combine to create the most amazing experience your palate will ever have the pleasure
of tasting. I am not kidding.

Then, came the Cinnamon French Toast. Now, I take my french toast very seriously.
Tortilla Jo's didn't disappoint. Brioche, cinnamon candied walnuts, cajeta syrup,
and the final touch that puts it over the top - horchata whipped cream.
You had me at cajeta syrup and knocked me down with horchata whipped cream.

Next, I had something I'd never had before -  Machaca!
It was combined with eggs and stuffed into a poblano chile with smoked tomato
salsa and Mexican red rice to make the Machaca con Huevos Chile Relleno.
I wasn't sure about eating the whole chile, but it was all so yummy, I did!

If you like Huevos Rancheros, then you'll definitely love them at Tortilla Jo's.
A corn tortilla, refried beans, two sunny side up eggs, salsa ranchera,
cojita cheese and papas a la Mexicana make up this colorful version of this
well-known plate.

And I can't forget the dessert! I am still dreaming of the Mini Churros.
They were filled with cajeta caramel and they just melted in my mouth.
The little Apple Chimichangas were good too and the chocolate drizzle was
not only pretty, but delicious.

Thanks to my friends at Gigasavvy for hosting such fantastic brunch and for
introducing me to Tortilla Jo's for the first time! I just know we'll be
lifelong brunch friends!
(and hopefully lunch and dinner too!)
