Summer Adventures with Cubcoats + #GIVEAWAY

The minute that I saw Cubcoats I knew that Grace would love them! Adorable stuffed animal friends with names like Papo the Panda, Kali the Kitty, and Tomo the Tiger - what's not to love?  The amazing thing about Cubcoats is that they aren't just stuffed animals! Cubcoats are a 2-in-1 stuffed animals that transform into a soft hoodie! So, everywhere your favorite little person takes her Cubcoat, she'll always have a hoodie ready to keep her comfy and cozy!

Your chosen Cubcoat friend will arrive a cute little box. Grace was so excited to come home and find two pretty blue boxes waiting for her to open them. She was even more delighted when she opened the boxes to find her new best friends - Tomo the Tiger and Bene the Bunny! I was pleasantly surprised with the softness of the the Soft Touch fleece. Grace was thrilled with how cuddly the Cubcoats are and she took to squeezing them immediately.

We decided to take our Cubcoats friends on their first excursion to the movie theater because it was the perfect summer day. It was starting to warm up outside, but I knew that the theater would be chilly and that within 20 minutes of the movie starting Grace would be complaining that she was cold. But because it's summer and 80 degrees outside I don't carry a jacket or hoodie around with me for her "just in case" like I do in the winter.

I was right - within 15 minutes of being in the the theater she was asking me to unroll Tomo the Tiger and make him into a jacket to keep her warm. The best part about having Bene the Bunny along for the adventure too is that she still had a friend to snuggle during the show.

It is SUPER easy to change your Cubcoat friend into a hoodie and back again. If I can do it in the dark of the movie theater, then you can do it anywhere!!
Our Cubcoats were totally perfect for our excursion to the movies. I was happy, Grace was happy, and we both enjoyed the movie together! When we got back outside - it was WARM! Grace loved the hoodie so much that she wore it to the car even though she didn't need it.

I mean, come on, look at the cute retractable ears on the hoodie! The hoodie is fully lined and made from premium materials. All of the hoodies are a classic heather grey so they can be worn and enjoyed by all the little people that think certain colors are for one or the other :)

Once we were back in the car, she decided she was warm enough and wanted her friend Bene the Bunny back. So I quickly folded the hoodie back up, tucked in back in and her stuffed animal friend was back and ready for the ride home. She has slept with them every night and wants to take them wherever we go. They are the perfect travel companion and I'm so excited we have them for all of our summer travel plans.

All of the Cubcoats are priced at $39.95 and are available at www.cubcoats.com. They come in sizes 2T to 6/7. The 6/7 will fit a child up to 64 pounds and 49 inches tall. We picked the size 5 so that Grace has some room to grow with her Cubcoats.

TOO Cute Tuesday: Linky Par-Tay! #392

Our summer is in full swing and I am loving the days with no school schedule or after school activities. I'm sure that by August I'll be yelling for school to start again, but this week has been really nice! We went to Knott's Berry Farm with friends and explored Ghost Town Alive - it's so much fun! I love how the citizens of Calico interact with the guests and help you step back in a time a little bit to a simpler era.

TOO Cute Tuesday: Linky Par-Tay! #391

I've lived in Orange County for 15 years and I've never been to the Pageant of the Masters!! Last week I got a sneak peek of all the work that goes into creating this amazing art festival in Laguna Beach. It was really quite spectacular! I can't wait for the Festival of Arts to start July 5th so I can check out all the amazing exhibiting local artists and see the Pageant of the Masters "Under the Sun".

Happy last week of school! Well, you might be the lucky who are already out for the summer, but we've got one more week to go! This weekend all of Isabella's dreams came true when she got to see Newsies at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. It's play now through June 24th and it was amazing!! I've seen it before and this book and cast were my favorite!

Orange You Glad It's Summer Teacher Gift + Printable

If you hadn't heard, I have a certain daughter that loves orange. She is crazy for it! She wants her hair orange, she wants her clothes orange, she loves orange food best and everyday involves orange in one form or the other. So, when it was time to do end of the year teacher gifts I knew that orange would need to be involved in some way. Since we had already done the Orange You Glad I'm Eight when she got baptized almost 2 years ago, I thought that Orange You Glad it's Summer would be the perfect theme for a teacher gift.

So I gathered up as many orange things as I could find and filled up a cute orange sand bucket that I found in the Dollar Spot at Target (or whatever they're calling it now) and loaded it up.

The orange things I included:
Orange Wooden Earrings (I sprayed painted a wooden pair I bought.)
Orange bubble wand
Orange sunscreen
Orange water gun
Orange soda
Orange gum
Orange Tic Tacs
Orange box of candy (Reese's Pieces)
Orange nail polish
Orange magazine
An ORANGE!

I lucked out in finding the HGTV magazine with an orange armoire on the front that went perfectly with the orange theme. I bought cute wooden leaf earrings and sprayed painted them orange. They turned out so cute!! I also included a gift card and made an orange gift card holder for it with a scrap of scrapbook paper and some orange washi tape.

It all fit in the bucket perfectly and then I added a cute little tag that I made by attaching it to the bucket with orange baker's twine. My daughter was thrilled with how it all came together. It was so much fun to make and I love that you can put anything in it you think that your teacher would love that is ORANGE!
