SoCal Social: Two Thumbs Up!

I was lucky enough to attend the SoCal Social this past weekend.
It was so awesome!!!
We started with a Swag Walk around Old Town Orange.
I love Old Town Orange.
Love it.
So a Swag Walk in Old Town Orange was awesome.

The shop we visited were so fun!
Some of my favorites were Paris in a Cup,
Julep's, Eikon Home, and Heavenly Hostess.
Do you see our cute name tags/necklaces??

Soraya @ Homemaker on a Dime, Jaime @ Polkadots On Parade, Pattie @ Living Mi Vida Loca,
Kara Noel @ Eli's Lids at Country Road Antiques

I loved this greeting from Tea Leaf Cottage!
Such gorgeous vintage clothing in there!

After the Swag Walk we all met up at The Filling Station for lunch.
Aren't our place cards adorable???

There was a fabulous giveaway table!!!

Made possible by these sponsors!

Did you see you-know-who on there??
Here was my little giveaway out for display!
(Keep reading for more pics of my handmade goodness!)

We mingled and sucked down Diet Coke and Lemonade.

Sorting out the Cokes from the Diet Cokes :)

My pretty friends and new baby Tessa!

Oh! And see that bag next to Kara Noel??
Not only did we get wonderful swag on the Swag Walk,
we had a bag full of more awesome things waiting
for us at our tables.
Amazing.

I had the roast turkey sandwich.
Mmmm . . . cranberry sauce and avocado!

Lunch was lovely and I sat across from the most darling woman - Karen.
She doesn't have a blog, but she reads all of our blogs and she's a
crafty lady and so she decided to come.
How fun is that?
She was so sweet!
Karen, if you're reading, email me!

The cupcakes from Miss Priss Cupcakes were YUMMY!!!
I tried the lemon and the key lime pie.

Baby Tess tried to stay cool and wished
she could try the German Chocolate :)

Then the RAD Mark Montano did a fabulous Q&A.

He spoke about his career, how he came to publish
Big Ass Book of Crafts and Big Ass Book of Crafts 2.
He was totally inspiring.

After lunch, Jaime, Kara Noel and I hopped over
to the photo op from Shutter Nonsense.
So fun!
I can't wait for the photos to be posted.

Then we headed back to Heavenly Hostess
for Martini Madness courtesy of Cynthia - the owner.
She had snacks, drinks, and giveaways!!!
She even displayed all our fun cards!

So that is how I came to own the Big Ass Book of Crafts 2,
meet Mark Montano, and have one to giveaway to you!!!
GO ENTER!
Run!

When I got home that night I laid out all my swag.
Thanks to Bev, Viv, Holly, Mark & all the sponsors for making
this event so amazing.

Ok!!
Here is the fun little handmade lovelies I gave away.
A ruffled tote, ruffled composition book cover,
ruffled headbands, and a business card holder.

I added little pockets for pens inside the notebook.

It was so fun to make!
I wish I could remember who won it :(
Maybe she'll see this and remind me :)

So much fun! I love old Orange too. My aunt actually sells in one of the shops there. She does hand painted china and cards. What a fun day. I was so sad it was a day I could not make it. Keep trying to talk them into doing another one soon!! :)

It was fun finally getting to meet you last night. You are just as fabulous in person as you are on your blog...but I kind of already knew that since my Mom and sister Paige adore you already too :)
