Pretend City: EGG-CELLENT Easter Extravaganza

Hooray!
It's Spring time and Easter is right around the corner.
Pretend City is celebrating in a big way,
so bring your Littles in their Easter duds and enjoy some
fantastically fun and educational activities!

There will be fun with Lil Me Morning: Sensational Story Time
where the Pretenders will learn about the Easter holidays through
story, song, and activities.

Don't miss the Egg-cellent Easter Games and the bunny-themed
games that will have your children hopping, twisting, turning, and
building their gross motor skills.

Later that afternoon the children will learn about the symbols of
Easter through sweet Easter treats that are sure to delight their taste buds.

Of course, what would an Easter celebration be without a certain long-eared guest?
The festivities begin at 10:00, run throughout the day, and wrap up with a
Bunny Hop twist to the daily Pretend City Parade at 3:00.

Minted Business Cards: Product Review

I'm so excited to share Minted with you!
I've been looking to update my business cards
for the last year or so, but I kept putting it off because
I wasn't quite sure what I wanted or where to get them done.
So when I found out about Minted - I was so excited because I think
I finally found a fantastic place to get them done!

One of the things I think is so fantastic about Minted is that it's a
community of a thousands of independent designers that submit
their work - so it's like you have thousands of designers working
for you - making it easy to find the design that is just perfect.

There are so many designs to choose from - it was hard to choose just one.
I also like that Minted gives you the option to upgrade the paper type
or go with the basic paper option that is included with the business cards.

The site is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for.
I like the search options and the options to narrow your choices
by style, profession, price, and paper options.

In addition to all the business card options at Minted,
they also have a lots of other paper and stationary products - including Christmas cards!
My experience with Minted was totally positive and I recommend
checking the site out if you want fantastic options for business cards
and other stationary needs.

Disclosure: I received a Minted.com credit in exchange for my honest review.
I was not compensated in any other manner. The opinions expressed above are my own.

Framed St. Patrick's Day Embroidery

I'm back with another fun embroidery idea for St. Patrick's Day!
I have loved doing the embroidery - it's so calming - and it's been
fun getting comfortable with using spray paint.
It started with Halloween, then I did Christmas, next was
Valentine's Day, and then the happy Sunshine embroidery.

Lucky and Pinch Me templates
Dollar Store Frames
White Fabric
Green Embroidery Floss
Embroidery Needle
Embroidery Hoop
Pencil
Glue Gun
Tutorial HERE

After I traced the "lucky" onto the fabric I decided it needed a little shamrock.
So, I just hand sketched one made out of four hearts.
I really like the extra punch!

Have you tried your hand at embroidery?
I'd love to see it!
Be sure to link up to the Flickr group, so everyone can check it out!

Green {Irish} Kettle Corn

One of my favorite things to make is the Our Best Bites Kettle Corn.
It is YUM! YUM! YUM! and is always a crowd favorite.
So when I had to take a green treat to a St. Patrick's Day potluck
I had with my friends at the park, I decided to make it GREEN!

It turned out so great!
But I learned a few things, so I decided to share the tips with you.
I always make a double batch - a single never goes far enough.
So you'll need:

2/3 cup white popcorn kernels
6 T canola oil
6 T sugar
Kosher salt
green food coloring

Follow the directions at Our Best Bites,
but when it comes to the step when you dump in the popcorn kernel/sugar
mixture into the hot oil, quickly, and I mean QUICKLY,
squeeze about 10 drops of green food coloring into the mound
of sugar popcorn - trying to avoid dropping it directly into the oil.
Stir fast and pop the lid on.
Then continue following the OBB directions.

BAM! You'll have green "Irish" kettle corn that all your friends
will go cuckoo for!

I mad a fabulous rainbow strip garland that I am

We had fun gabbing and crafting while it hailed outside
and the kids played beautifully together.
