The Queen Mary's CHILL Returns for {2016} #QueenMaryCHILL

Disclosure: I will be attending a CHILL media event with my family. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

CHILL returns to The Queen Mary for it's fifth year and I am so excited about this
year's theme - Alice in Winterland! Southern California's coolest holiday event debuts
November 23rd and makes lots of chilly fun through January 8, 2017.

The all new Alice in Winterland is an immersive 14,000-square foot experience
that follows Alice on her adventure through Winterland. Larger than life lanterns guide
you along Alice's adventure in the the Hall of Doors, the White Rabbit's Kitchen, Mad
Hatter's Workshop, the Tea Party, Hedge Maze, and visits with the new Queen of
Diamonds and the Caterpillar. There is no ice in the Alice in Winterland experience,
instead you'll unlock the hidden magic with RIFD technology to make your unique
adventure unforgettable.

Even though there isn't any ice in Alice in Winterland, you'll still want to bring
your gloves, scarves, and beanies because it can get chilly down by the Queen
Mary at night and it's cool on the ice when you're ice skating.

In addition to  the Alice in Winterland experience, activities during the CHILL
festivities also include:

Glacier Glide Ice Tubing
Guests 45" and taller can grab a giant tube and race down one of six ice slides
standing two stories tall and 100-feet long.

Ice Skating
(additional charge applies)
Glide around the 6,000 square foot ice skating rink with the Queen Mary as your
backdrop and let your inner Chazz Michael Michaels out for the world to see.

North Pole Village
Gingerbread houses, holiday carolers, and Santa Claus, oh my! That's what visitors
will find in the North Pole Village, along with the Giant Rocking Horse, Swinging Sleigh
Rideand Prancer's Paintball. It's fun for all!

Dark Harbor Returns to Haunt The Queen Mary {2016}

Disclosure: I was invited as media to preview Dark Harbor. All opinions are my own.

Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary is back for 2016 with the Iron Master and his all
new maze - Intrepid! Now through October 31st the Ringmaster, Iron Master, and
the other ghouls and monsters will be ready to frighten and entertain those who dare to
find out what fear lives at the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor.
One of the things I love most about Dark Harbor is that it takes place on and around
the Queen Mary - which is actually haunted!!!

The Ringmaster is back again and is one of my favorite Dark Harbor monsters.
He and his circus of lost souls will haunt your nightmares if you're brave enough
to visit the Circus and wander through the terrifying tent of terror.

Beware The Captain if you choose to enter Deadrise.
The wreckage of Deadrise has again been enlisted by The Captain to escort he
and his ghosts into a battle against the living to reclaim Dark Harbor!

This year, the returning mazes Deadrise, Circus, Soulmate, B340 and Lullaby
are joined by three new experiences - Intrepid Maze, Panic 4-D Virtual Maze
experience, and Hex Paintball shooting gallery.

My husband and I tried out the mazes and cautiously explored Slider Alley and
Monster Midway, but beware what is hiding in the fog. If you loathe waiting in line,
be sure to check into VIP admission, which will give you a Fast Fright Pass (cut-in-line!)
and admission to the RIP Lounge.

You won't want to miss the Sideshow where you can step backstage and rub
elbows with the resident freaks. You can also rent the Creepy Cabanas to gain
instant access to the Sideshow and Sinister Swings. In the R.I.P. Lounge you get a
ghost-eye VIP view that comes with an all-you-can-eat taco bar. The carne asada
was delicious! And on the Mainstage the DJ spins his monstrous music in between
a variety of nightly shows.

CHILL is back at the Queen Mary: November 22nd - Jan 5th

Disclosure: I will be attending a CHILL media event with my family. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am so excited that this event at The Queen Mary is back again!
We missed it last year and when I saw all the great pictures of my friends enjoying
all the amazing CHILL-y fun that CHILL has to offer I was kicking myself.

The giant dome next to the Queen Mary - which used to be home to the Spruce Goose -
is transformed into an amazing igloo and becomes the home of The Ice Kingdom.
This winter wonderland features ice creations that tower over 2.5 stories tall and use more
than TWO MILLION POUNDS of ice.
This year The Ice Kingdom transports guests into The Nutcracker Story.

Even though I've never been, I have it on good authority that you will need to bring
your gloves, scarves, wool socks and beanies because temperatures in The Ice Kingdom
drop to a CHILL-y 9 degrees to keep The Ice Kingdom looking pristine.
Guests will receive parkas to protect them from the frigid climate, but be sure you
also dress warmly. This isn't a flip flops and Bermudas kind of event.

In addition to the The Ice Kingdom, activities during the CHILL festivities also include:

Ice Tubing
Guests 45" and taller can grab a giant tube and race down one of six ice slides
standing two stories tall and 100-feet long.

Ice Skating
Rent skates for $2.95 and glide around the 6,000  square foot ice skating rink
and let your inner Chazz Michael Michaels out for the world to see.

Holiday Village
Gingerbread houses, holiday carolers, and Santa Claus, oh my! That's what visitors
will find in the holiday village, along with Candy Lane, the world's largest rocking horse,
and a snowman bouncy house. It's fun for all!
