Fourth of July Star Wands

It's almost time for the Fourth of July, so if you've already made your

Fourth of July Pinwheel Headband, then now it's time to make Fourth of July

Star Wands for your Littles to wave at the city parade.

These are so fun and simple, your kids can help design and make them

with you for a fun afternoon craft.

SUPPLIES:

*wooden dowels or sticks

*washi tape

*felt

*star die

*ribbon

*glitter pom poms

*hot glue gun

I used my Evolution machine from Lifestyle Crafts paired with the star nesting dies

to cut my stars from felt, using the same method I used when I made the Fourth of July

Pinwheel Headband. Then I covered a couple of dowels in cute washi tape.

I sandwiched the dowels between the largest star shapes and hot glued

them into place and then layered the smaller stars on top in different red, white,

and blue color combinations.

Next I tied some grosgrain and sheer ribbon around the dowel to make

some fun tassels and pump up the fun of the wand waving.

Isabella wanted some sparkly pom poms attached to her ribbon tassels,

so I obliged and glue some to hers and it turned out super cute.

I loved this project because it was quick and it was something the kids could

help me with to get ready for the Fourth of July.

Mistletoes Christmas Gift Set

I wanted to make a cute gift for all my friends this holiday season.
Being pregnant has put me about 3-4 weeks behind, so I finally got them finished
this week and handed them out to the fun friends in my life.
I had seen some cute ideas around Blogland having to do with Mistletoe,
and this little saying came to me as I was considering how I could spice
it up a little bit and make it my own.



I made some cute tags with some of my favorite fonts in Photoshop.
Then I used the nesting die set that came with the Evolution Die Cutting tool
that We R Memory K gave me to cut out the tags.
I love the cute scallop and how the nesting dies allow you to cut the same shape
but in different sizes and don't take up much space.



I filled the bag with my favorite lip gloss (E.L.F.), sparkly nail polish,
and some yummy peppermint Hershey Kisses. For a filler I shredded some
Christmas themed scrapbook paper in my paper shredder.



I punched the hole in the gift tags using the ever awesome Crop-a-Dile.
Using the Knotty Gift Set I made cute little bows and adhered them to the tags
using the Sticky Thumb Adhesive Runner.
I love how the Knotty Gift Set punch makes the bows three dimensional!
They are so cute!
