Behind the Scenes with Ringling Bros. Circus Out of This World

Disclosure: We will be provided tickets to opening night at the Honda Center for our honest review. All opinions are our own.

We had a blast at Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey's new show Out of This World
at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The action-packed storyline had us join the Circus
Space Fleet on an epic mission of good versus evil. It was amazing to me how the performers
performed their amazing acts on ICE! There were clowns, a trick basketball troupe and of
course, the amazing BIG CATS and their trainer Alexander Lacey. I am still in awe of
a person that would climb into a cage full of these amazing, yet terrifying animals.

I also loved the motorcycles inside the cage of doom! You can check out the
Facebook Live video I made while we were at the circus. It was loud, but totally
awesome! Grace loved the dogs and the pig best, JT liked the motorcyles and Isabella
really liked the acrobats and the ice skaters. It was a great show with so many new
elements that I've never seen done at the circus before.

A few days later we had the opportunity to meet Alexander Lacey and a couple
of his big cats. Alexander comes from a long line of big cat trainers and he was in
his first show at the age of 19. However, he first step foot inside the cage with these
beautiful animals at the age of 12. He said that he thought the cats were HUGE when
he was outside the cage, but when he was inside the cage with them for the first time
they were twice as big! He has a great relationship with all his cats and he says he knows if
they are in the mood to perform or not. He says he never makes them be in the show if they
are having a bad day. He just lets them have a night off and makes adjustments. He just much
like we need a break, they do to, and since he knows them so well, it's easy to tell
when one of them needs a break.

After we met with Alexander Lacey, then we were treated by a little performance and
meet and greet with the King Charles Troupe. Their basketball skills are phenomenal
on the ground, but then they add in the unicycles and it just gets crazy amazing! All
the kids were excited to get to be up close and personal with the performers and try
and learn a few tricks from them.

Even Grace insisted on having her chance to throw the ball around with KCT. It
was a lot of fun and a big thanks to Ringling Bros. for making the afternoon possible!

If you haven't had a chance to catch the show, it's not too late!
