Los Angeles Boat Show 2014: {Giveaway}

I have always loved boats and seeing how amazing and home-like they can be.
We love taking Grandpa's little boat out into the Long Beach bay at Christmastime
to see all the gorgeous yachts lit up and decorated.
If you've ever wanted see a million dollar yacht in person or get more information
on an entry-level family cruiser,
then you are in luck because the 2014 Progressive Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show is coming!

When: February 6-9, 2014

Los Angeles Convention Center

  4637 Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey
(complimentary shuttle offered between locations)

$12 for adults; youth 15 and younger accompanied by an adult, and active military free.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at or day-of-event at the box office. Included in your paid admission to the show is a 1-year subscription ($7.00 value) to one of these magazines: Yachting, Cruising World, Islands, Parenting or TW Snowboarding.

There is a lot of family fun to be had at the LA Boat Show, including:
  • Kids’ Zone: surfing simulator, toy build-a-boat program and appearances by Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer.
  • New! Swampmaster Gator Show: Watch as the Swampmaster catches an 8-foot, 200lb alligator with his bare hands. Kids can also get up close to a baby gator.
  • Try-it Cove – get on the water, indoors: activities include stand up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking and more.
  • Big Boat Row: See a spectacular fleet of big boats standing more than 
40 feet in length.
  • Discover Boating Hands-On Skills Training: boaters of all ages and experience levels can get behind the helm during a series of on-water workshops taught by USCG-certified professionals.
  • Welcome to the Water Center: resources for families looking to get started in boating.

Family Four Pack of tickets good for any day of the show - February 6-9.

Yes, I've been to one boat show. I live in a city right on the Mississippi River, so there are plenty of boat-lovers around! I've always been impressed with the cabins in boats that are so compact and cozy.
